Erling Haaland became the fastest player to join the Premier League 100 goals club with his 17th-minute strike in Manchester City's game against Fulham on Tuesday.

Haaland broke Alan Shearer's long-standing record, scoring his 100th Premier League goal in just his 111th appearance. Shearer set the record in 1995 in his 124th match.

The Norway international's milestone Tuesday is just the latest Premier League record he has broken since he joined City in July 2022.

Tuesday's strike meant he surpassed a host of Premier League legends in the race to 100 goals, including Thierry Henry (141 games), Sergio Agüero (147 games) and Liverpool rival Mohamed Salah (162 games).

Haaland still has a way to go to break the Premier League's ultimate goal-scoring record, though. Shearer is still the league's career top scorer with 260 goals, which he hit during stints with Blackburn and Newcastle between 1992 and 2006.

Haaland's debut season with City brought a record 36 Premier League goals, and he collected a pair of Golden Boots at the earliest opportunity with 27 in 2023-24.

He scored 22 last season and so far has 15 in 14 appearances this time around, three clear of the pack as he chases his third top-scorer accolade.

Wolves are his favourite opponent, with 10 goals in six appearances including three and then four in his first two Etihad Stadium meetings with the Black Country club.

He has nine goals against West Ham and eight against Manchester United, in six games apiece. Tuesday's goal was his seventh in as many games against the Cottagers.
